That is a move you make when you’re a few big pieces away from being a contender. They are not close to that. They are bottom 10.

I would rather spend money efficiently (because clearly they aren’t comfortable playing the Cohen game) than give a bunch of 35+ players 2-3 year deals. Those still aren’t cheap.

@Destroy_You77 @DOM_Frederic I’m referring to the Anthony Rendon deal. Adding a big name to a roster not ready to compete. They also have Ohtani and trout and still suck. You can’t just add a few guys and expect to be good. I’m not knighting for them but you have to see how these prospects he got work out.
