I breed & race standardbreds, I'm a generally happy person now living the good life. I love animals & am owned by doxies! And I'm proud to be a Democrat!
Buttigieg: We didn't know it, but we've all been trusting our lives to the restraint of whoever the president might be. And now we have a president who is completely unrestrained. And so the only answer to that is a functioning Congress.
It turns out we do not have a functioning Congress. The House of Representatives is not representative. One of the most important organs of our democracy is not democratic.
They say, "Oh, no. We're not manipulating the map to disempower black people. We're manipulating the map to disempower Democrats who happen to be black people.”
So, the time has come to make it impossible to manipulate the map for any reason and just have fair maps.
Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH) — who called the U.S. war with Iran "good news for the global economy" and voted against ending it — represents a state where gasoline is up 40.5% over the past year as consumer prices hit a 3-year high of 4.2%. Read more: https://t.co/OUqwPL8VzH
Mike Johnson calls Social Security an “entitlement” and says he has a plan for it to be “adjusted and fixed.”
Social Security is an earned benefit – not an entitlement – and as we’ve warned repeatedly, it’s about to hit a cliff, now in 2032. In Connecticut, that would mean an average loss of $556/month in benefits.
The way to prevent this is by making the rich pay their fair share in payroll tax – the same as middle and working-class Americans.
The President just named Bill Pulte to be the Acting Director of National Intelligence.
He doesn’t have one day of intelligence experience.
This puts Americans and our country at risk.
Dan Rather's right. Every story run by CBS and Bari Weiss next fall should have an asterisk superimposed: "This story was approved by Donald Trump." When a fascist authoritarian regime's in charge of what the American people should know, the country has gone full banana republic.
Fmr FBI Agent Michael Feinberg: "Something that absolutely chilled my blood was when both JD Vance and Stephen Miller told ICE officers and agents, 'You have absolute immunity in what you need to do.' That is the exact opposite of how I was trained."
This is not Trump!
Friends, this pleasant gentleman wearing a beautiful Ukrainian embroidered shirt is Sir Richard Branson.
@richardbranson
He is a world-famous businessman, visionary, billionaire philanthropist, and the founder of the legendary Virgin Group.
He built a vast business empire from the ground up.
He launches tourists into space aboard his spacecraft. 🚀
And for more than a decade, since 2014, he has been a steadfast supporter of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
Sir Richard has personally visited Ukraine many times.
His support for Ukraine amounts to tens of millions of dollars of his own money—earned through his brilliant mind, honesty, and hard work.
Why does he help us?
Because he sees our pain and our losses as his own.
Because he understands how difficult these times are for us and does everything he can to support and help Ukraine.
He puts his heart into it. He invests his effort, his valuable time, and his resources.
This is what a true human being looks like.
A person with a truly great heart and character.
A person I would like to sincerely thank.
Thank him on my own behalf, and on behalf of all of Ukraine. 🫂🇺🇦
#BREAKING: Velshi: “What if I told you this? The Trump administraction had ALREADY spent 50 TIMES that much in taxpayer money to build his ballroom? What if I told you Trump had already taken $50 billion out of the U.S. treasury and spent it, all as part of what looks very much like a pay to play scheme to finance his vanity project? And I’m not making this up, a brand new report from the government watchdog group Public Citizen looked into the private donors who are supposedly funding the Trump ballroom as a gift. Guess what their investigation found? ‘More than half of the publicly identified donors…have won new or expanded federal contracts worth more $50 billion during the past six months.’ The report also found that most of the same companies are also facing federal enforcement actions over alleged wrongdoing and that some have had such actions suspended by the Trump administration since the start of Trump’s second term.”🙄
BREAKING: In a stunning admission, Mike Johnson just told reporters that he has plan to cut Medicare and Medicaid after the midterms. We can stop this by making Hakeem Jeffries the next Speaker of the House.
Charlamagne tha God: “Donald Trump wasn’t responsible for the loss of the game, but he was responsible for the loss of joy the Knicks fans had been feeling. Donald Trump came here yesterday and sucked the joy out of the city”
Trump said something outside a press gaggle that I don’t think enough people caught.
A reporter called him out on the corruption. He gave three responses.
1. I have the right to do it.
2. He’s not stealing that much. A billion or two billion dollars. Not that much money. Classic Trump.
3. People don’t care.
That’s the permission structure. Our collective apathy is what they’re using to justify everything happening in Washington right now.
Please stand up and prove him wrong.
This took place at the Cincinnati Reds game.
A home run ball got wedged just over the wall and the stands. The stands are a good four-five feet up from the wall.
So this dad tells his son to lean over and then grabs him by the feet dangling him over the wall to get the ball. 😳
A stadiums employee comes down and grabs the dad by the arm and tells him to stop. 💯
Even the announcer laughs and says “that dude’s gonna’ sacrifice his son.”
A couple of things- one, that’s a good way to get kicked out of the park. That dad knows he shouldn’t be doing that. Two, it’s just a baseball. I know it’s a home run ball but it’s worth nothing. Maybe sentimental value to look back and say remember when we got that homerun ball? I get it but it’s not worth it. What if his son slipped out of his hands? And the Beast in the backyard is probably going to chew that ball up anyway.
Do you understand the fascination of trying to get these home run balls? Heck, think of the chaos for a foul ball- what’s that all about? It’s a just a foul ball. Why not go buy a MLB baseball in the souvenir shop?
Unfortunately, this is the way the world looks at us now because of Trump. Not because of George Bush. Not because of Ronald Reagan.
Nope, because of the last person elected in the United States.
