Ok, here's my brand new herd of Highland cattle!
They are less than 6 inches in any direction so cute and dinky 👌 each one will be hand knitted to order! Each bit of shaggy is secured individually & take a couple of days to make but for £25 each Inc post a bargain!

Sadly, Helmsdale doesn't have a castle anymore, demolished to make way for a new bridge in 1970 after this one wasn't deemed modern enough.

The fortress that did once guard the mouth of the River Helmsdale was a Sutherland stronghold - a powerful, but not always happy family.

These last few days of persistent westerlies have started to deliver drift to our west coast from the North Atlantic Current as it passes. These Common Goose Barnacles attached & grew on this Egg Wrack seaweed from North America as it crossed the ocean, landing in Birsay today.
