I've realized you can never truly love a man who's at war with himself. no matter how much love you've poured, no matter how gently you try to reach him, you cannot love someone into becoming whole. you can reassure him, understand him, be patient with him and remind him of all the reasons he is worthy of love but if he is constantly fighting battles within himself, your love will always feel like something he has to question. and you, without a doubt, will be the first thing he lets go easily when things become hard form him
i’m not interested in people who act too cool to care. give me the hopeless romantics, the ones who double text, write paragraphs, give thoughtful gifts, make plans, and love loudly. i want people who actually enjoy being in love.
The less you talk to someone, the more you realize you don’t need them at all. You can try to hold on so tightly, thinking they’re someone you don’t want to lose, but the silence feels lighter than their presence ever will. Every day you drift away, you see things clearer. You see how much peace is gained without the constant confusion, and how much strength you have when you’re not begging for the bare minimum.
The next man will be truly confident in himself as a man & what he can provide in the moment, not just in how he looks & how good he is at sex!
I will notice the difference immediately.
I’m actually very excited to have those moments again with someone new. I’m not rushing myself at all, just open to the right kind of love coming into my life. I’m very certain it’s going to happen sooner than I expect.
I get to have that first date feeling again.
The first txt again.
The first all night FT/phone call again.
The first I love you again.
The first kiss again.
The first time being intimate again.
The first time going on vacation again.
With the right person this time!
as my final act of love, i am finally stepping out of your life. i will stop checking my phone for your name, and i won't look for excuses to text you anymore. i’m letting go because i'm tired of showing up where i'm not wanted
sometimes people don't want an apology. they want to know that the person who hurt them finally understands why it hurt.
there's a difference between regretting that someone is upset and genuinely understanding what you did to them.
I don’t have shame at all, I loved TF out of that man & I know he loved me deeply, it was so obvious to everyone that saw us together & spent just 5 mins around us.
I never begged before him & I won’t beg the next man that comes into my life.
I definitely made myself look crazy calling this man from fake ass numbers & literally begging him to talk to me. I desperately wanted to be understood & felt I was owed his time since we created this relationship together & he initiated a lot of future planning.
I’m so used to crumbling when someone leaves, this time, my foundation is rooted in myself & I didn’t do the work just to fall apart when I have zero attachments to this man & my life is still fully my own.
I believe I wanted him back so that somehow I could feel like what we shared wasn’t all in my head but this past month has been so hard & I don’t want to heal from him & then he just pops back up into my life.
2 weeks ago, I stopped trying to reach out & deleted his number (no screenshots) but I still wished every notification was him. Last night i changed my number to ease my mind & remove the possibility. I’m awake now feeling lighter than expected.
