On the sidelines, I met with senior officials and experts to discuss future cooperation on demographic analysis, migration and human capital development.
Honoured to lead Uzbekistan’s delegation to the 2nd Regional Ministerial Conference on Demographic Resilience in Skopje, organised by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Government of North Macedonia.
In my remarks, I highlighted that demographic resilience is a key priority of the updated Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy. Our goal is to turn population growth into a demographic dividend through investment in education, healthcare, jobs and social protection.
55% of #Uzbekistan’s population is under 30 and 780,000 young people enter the labour force every year.

On 25 Feb in Madrid, the conference “Uzbekistan at the Crossroads of Regional Processes” gathered 60+ experts from Spain and Portugal. 🇺🇿🇪🇸🇵🇹
We presented ongoing reforms, the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy, and foreign policy priorities, generating interest and active discussion.
During a working visit to Madrid (25–26 Feb), talks focused on Uzbekistan’s reforms and the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy. Cooperation with the World Jurist Foundation on rule of law research, expert dialogue, and international forums was also discussed.
