You could tell from the entire exercise today that she was internally struggling with something. Perhaps Matembe’s tears yesterday did not let her sleep peacefully, plus all the public sentiments that followed. She finally gathered the courage to say words that many of her colleagues in Temples of (in)Justice have dishonourably failed to say, as they chose to enable oppression of the persecuted. Her conscience has refused to die while she lives. It might be only one instance, but she deserves flowers and respect. Keep that way Sheilla Gloria Atim, regardless. May history count you among those that stood up in the storm. Perhaps more consciences could be gradually woken back to life. Perhaps they’ll be challenged by her courage to say those few words.

First, they abducted the opposition, and many stayed silent because they did not belong to the opposition.
Then they came for journalists, and many stayed silent because they were not journalists.
Then they came for activists, and many stayed silent because they were not activists.
Then they came for ordinary citizens who dared to speak, and still many stayed silent because they thought obedience would protect them.
Now, they are coming for everyone, turning a nation into a prison built on fear, torture, and the arrogance of unchecked power.
Tyranny grows not only because of those who wield power brutally but also because of the silence of those who watch injustice and convince themselves that it is not their fight.
Uganda is bleeding, while too many remain comfortable spectators. But history has never been kind to cowards who watched oppression rise and said nothing.
When injustice becomes the law of the land, silence is not neutrality. It is betrayal!
Men
Live with in your means, Let them call you stingy as long as you’re working on your goals.
Don’t fear to start again and never be ashamed of your hustle because when you go broke no one will save you. 📌
Be the man who can lose everything and still wake up tomorrow ready to rebuild. Betrayal failure humiliation—when nothing works and nobody believes in you. The pressure that buries men before they fight back. Take it all, process it, then face life dead and say: I’ll figure it out.
Marriage is all about give AND take 50/50. 💯
But that’s a conversation many people don’t want to have at all. Mbu the man has to do all the giving while she does all the taking? 😏
Not on my watch! I will do 50/50 always 📌
#UnpopularOpinion #750. Young people. What do you marry for these days? I understand you spend years of weekend marriages, stay-overs & testing yourselves as if it’s a chemistry laboratory! Then you collect millions from us for expensive & expansive parties where you dance like mercenaries. Your parents are seated there grinning from ear to ear. Then small, small argument, the girl packs her bags & the boy is running around like headless chicken. Mutulekemu namwe. Marriage is a commitment. If you’re not ready for it, don’t try it.
