@michaeljburry Sorry. I see it as if the old chips are still good because tech can preserve its usefulness, then why would there be as much demand for new chips? China is spending way less on compute. I may subscribe in the future.
@michaeljburry No I did not. Just interpreted it to mean that if pricing stays up, the market implies the product is good enough, even for an older chip. It's like when the Microsoft CEO mentions overbuilding, yet the market is still willing to pay for an older chip. Overspend.
@ExposingItIn26 Some don’t do it at their own will, but here goes. "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
@RealJimChanos Yes, for example, when building a data center, the builder has to build assuming peak demand. Most data centers sit idle or do not have high utilization due to the bunsiness of their customers. If they don’t build enough, customers won’t migrate, this is the paradox for them.
@mcuban So much money invested right now; how can you create jobs? All the cash flow concentrated, it can be years before society sees something industrial or digital transformation. Prime day shopping down over 15%!
@ZarkFiles@elonmusk 100% it is useless, uninspiring, and pure evil. The people behind it are sick and have no heart. Yes, laws are needed but Socialism defeats the purpose of those laws. The Government should focus on crime, fraud, education, and privacy not hypocrisy.
