@PalmyrPar Not sure about 2026 series Motoko but in GITS SAC series she was pretty much right wing. She work in Public Security Section 9. In 2rd GIG she hunts down leader of rebel immigrants group. Turns out rebels were proxy of foreign nations to weaken Japan economy and insider traitor.
@JadeAtrophis@CowGirlKisser A more convincing argument if, y’know, a certain tribe referenced in this image didn’t have a stranglehold on Congress through blackmail & financial pressure.
@HaruhiismOtaku The original manga, the 1995 film, the S.A.C series & film and the 2026 adaptation (so far) are kino. They are all also worth consuming as the manga, SAC & 1995 film are all different renditions of the characters.
But don’t worry about Arise.
Honestly, SAC_2045 is pretty good once you get past the jarring change to 3D. I recommend it if you like SAC.
The one thing I’ll say is that I do miss the Japanese Cyberpunk cityscapes of the original series & 2nd gig. The Americas setting feels a little out of place for GitS.
finger hovering over the Edit Profile Picture button like a loaded gun but not wanting to confuse people with 8000 other profiles who will inevitably also have a Quirky 2026 Motoko avatar
The original Office is literally a semi-realistic portrayal of working in an Office: showing how depressing, grey & mundane it is & what the human spirit will do entertain itself in such a bleak; post-modern environment.
The US office is a millennial, redditor’s worklife fantasy
Once again: The biggest problem with Dune is that if the message is "beware of heroes" it does an absolutely abysmal job at showing any viable alternative.
"Yes, Paul defeats an almost comically evil and corrupt empire, but have you considered that he is literally Hitler??"
@Skeletal_Chap2 Can I ask why you are so pro-Russian regarding the Russo-Ukrainian war (I am neutral in the conflict), I know the conflict is not the black & white invasion as western media forcibly depicts it as but at the same time I don’t really care for Russia.
A lot of women (and some men) seem to think the “male loneliness crisis” and “incels” are largely represented by the character of this movie who has social job, goes drinking with his friends and a girl has a crush on him
This is what they think guys are complaining about
