@Bluesea4117@barnesafc If that's how the manager and the board think they won't be signing and looking for some upgrades while letting go of some players. Some fans are just too emotional, and you feel too satisfied with the league we just won with no bigger ambitions to dominate the league.
@Bluesea4117@barnesafc Not everything is not agenda, bro.. I've been criticizing the players who are not good enough for the club even before last season ends. So because they won the league, we can no longer talk about some players who need to improve or who shouldn't be starting next season? Lol
@Bluesea4117@barnesafc I'm emotionally attached to the club but less attached to the players cos if I'm too attached to the players, I'll barely be able to criticise that player no matter how badly he plays. That's how some fans are; they'll see it as a hate when you say a player is not good enough.
@FamilusiMoyo@4pf_pixel Lol.. cry for what?? It'll be my joy if he improves which is what's good for the team, but if he continues like this, Havertz will start more and that's too bad cos Havertz has already shown us all he could do after 3 years which is average.
@Bluesea4117@barnesafc Catch up to the fact that some players are not good enough to be a starter. We all criticise players in different ways, and some of us have little or no emotional attachment to any player. If one of my quality players decides to go for a better team, I'll never hate on him either
@pen_c_il@AmanyaWycliff@barnesafc Because we still have Merino and MLS now too. When the new season starts, we'll see how it goes anyway. I'm hoping Zubi can really up his game so Rice can at least have some rest too as the season goes on.
@pen_c_il@AmanyaWycliff@barnesafc Zubi was a great liability to Rice in our midfield especially after the first half of last season. Rice was doing 2 players' work. If Norgard, even with his age, has close to Partey's quality and Zubi is good enough, we would not need a quality midfield signing this summer.
@DetoyeAdams I even wished him the best when he left cos when a player is terrible or not good enough, I'll criticise him to any extent and tell him to leave my club so a quality player should have same grace when he feels like a team is no longer good or ambitious enough for him.
@pen_c_il@AmanyaWycliff@barnesafc If it was a Pep's team maybe that would have been the case but once Arteta sees that there's a gap in quality of two players in the same position, the other player can remain on bench for as long as possible. I hope Zubi will give him the reasons to start him in some matches tho.
@pen_c_il@AmanyaWycliff@barnesafc You're correct to some extent but not entirely correct. If Zubi is almost as reliable as Rice is, I promise you that we wouldn't have signed Bruno except if he didn't cost as much. We wouldn't sign a costly CB right now if no injury cos they're both reliable.
@pen_c_il@AmanyaWycliff@barnesafc It's one thing to do something once it's another to be able to do it back to back..
If he's good enough in the long term, we wouldn't have gotten an upgrade in Bruno G., instead we would have gotten a lower budget back up. That's how it works..
@AmanyaWycliff@barnesafc Fair enough.. but then Zubi is not good enough to be a starter for us if we want to be a power house that dominates the league and become European giants especially with the way he panics when the pressure is high in tough games. I don't mind having him start some games, though.
@Ewatomiby@iDanDizzy He's good enough for them since we won the league when he joined Arsenal. Lol.. As if we didn't win the league with Zubimendi too and still had to sign Bruno G. When we've already clocked that Zubi can't be a reliable starter for long going forward..
