@kjngamer My copy of Pucchi Carat for PS1 freezes on boot up on both PS1 and PS2, but when inserted into my PC's disc drive, I can play the game on emulator just fine, so that game is most likely suffering from excessive amount of scratchs and not disc rot.

Why people usibg disc rot as some gotcha to why digital is better

It takes 20-100 years for it depending on if you keep the disc out or in cases/stored being the longest

I got ps1 games that have zero disc rot

You got more chance of a digital store front being closed than having disc rot

Ben Thompson argues that GTA 6 is one of the few games people will buy almost regardless of price.
He says Rockstar spent years developing it and could have made far more money by charging higher from day one, then offering discounts or special editions later.

@NazRaiGaming Only COD game I have is the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare from 2007, that I begged my mom to buy as my friend had the game and I was 15 at the time and game was PEGI 18 rated, and in the end, I ended up playing only few missions of it.

Into the PS5, and install started without internet, and now I have been playing the game without console been online for few hours, so notion that all discs require internet connection to play on PS5 is false.

While I've known for a while that majority of game discs on PS4/PS5 are not just "glorified gamekeys" that requires download to play the game, I still decided to try. So I unplugged my PS5 from internet, and inserted Tales of Graces F Remastered disc...

GKCs were an attempt to get Nintendo's overwhelming physical public to embrace all digital. They are the first step to all digital.

Supporting GKCs will simply make Nintendo pull the trigger as well.

GKCs are digital media and should be shamed and avoided.

@Stealth40k I don't know about 3DS version of that game as I haven't tried it, but GQ8 on itself is peak. I should start a new playthrough on my PS2 copy of it.
