This might sound like nothing but this is one of the most extraordinary revealing things Israel has said.
In the words of Israeli officials themselves Nasrallah literally died because he refused a side deal that abandoned the Palestinians.
In effect this man labelled "terrorist" died because he refused to yield on what all UN resolutions and the immense majority of the international community have been calling for ceaselessly. Except he, unlike those others, had teeth.
So, unlike what so many people are saying, the real reason for his death isn't because "Hezbollah are terrorists and they're bad" but so Israel can pursue its land grab and ethnic cleansing unimpeded. He was one of the only ones actually willing to make them face accountability for it and, in their own words, that's why he had to die.
Put a bit of work into this. Interviews with a host of Dublin players from the last 50 years as well as Jim Gavin and people from the worlds of film, music, literature, education and politics. Broken up into short stories so you can dip in and out.

Athletics sees a dramatic shift in the Jamaican horizon this summer. A couple of throwing medals at the Olympics were an astonishing feat for the "Sprint Kings". But it happened suddenly? No.

A couple more Paris videos. This one is great. Talk about an underreported angle to the Olympics: the unions threatening disruptions and strikes without adequate compensation. And Axel, the railway worker whom I interview, is brilliant and fun.

Ireland had its best ever medal haul at an Olympics, and a number of athletes who just missed the rostrum.
@seidodge has reviewed Team Ireland's overall performance, sport by sport.

There might have been no medal for Irish athletics in Paris, but the women's 400m and women's 4x400m finals were the #2 and #3 watched events by Irish audiences.
926,000 & 910,000 viewers. Those are huge, huge numbers.

Israeli forces detained Jibril Rajoub, president of the Palestinian Football Association, upon his return from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Israel's foreign minister had threatened Rajoub if he kept up his campaign to suspend Israel from the Olympics and FIFA.
Outrageous.
