Trump Media & Technology Group 2025 financial results were released today.
Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT: NASDAQ) was sold to investors (reported as mostly small‑time MAGA investors) as a media and technology company built around the Truth Social platform. In reality, it looks far more like a speculative bitcoin vehicle with a small, struggling social‑media site bolted on as window dressing.
Start with the basics. For all of 2025, Trump Media generated only about **$3.7 million** in revenue from its supposed “core business” – Truth Social, Truth+ and https://t.co/OAWvzB75B2. That is micro‑scale for a public company that has commanded multibillion‑dollar valuations and endless political attention.
At the same time, it reported a staggering **$712.3 million** net loss, driven largely by its own decision to transform investor capital into a massive, high‑risk crypto treasury.
That treasury shift is the tell. After raising billions from investors, the company plowed roughly **$2.5–3+ billion** into bitcoin and related digital‑asset bets, then began treating bitcoin trading and options income as if this were the heart of its “operations.” Management now points to about **$44 million** of cash proceeds from a covered‑put options strategy and a headline **$14.8 million of positive operating cash flow** as if that proves the business is turning the corner. It does not. It simply proves that if you re‑label speculative treasury activities as “operations,” you can dress up a fundamentally weak business.
Under honest economic analysis, the picture is ugly. The same year they bragged about options gains and “positive operating cash flow,” they also recorded roughly **$700+ million** of losses tied to digital assets and digital‑asset‑related securities. The gains are a rounding error next to the losses. This isn’t a disciplined, cash‑generating media enterprise; it’s a volatile crypto fund, financed by retail shareholders, wearing a Truth Social costume.
The strategy gets even more absurd when you look at the corporate direction. Instead of focusing on building a sustainable media or technology franchise with real users, real advertisers, and real revenue, Trump Media is now pursuing a merger with a fusion‑energy company – a business that has nothing to do with social media, streaming, or fintech. The through‑line isn’t coherent industrial logic; it’s chasing the next story that can be sold to investors.
In my view, this is not a misunderstood growth company. It is a financial shell whose main “assets” are:
1) money raised from believers,
2) speculative bitcoin positions, and
3) a narrative built around Donald Trump’s name and political brand.
The real losers are the ordinary investors who take management’s spin at face value – who see “positive operating cash flow” and “billions in financial assets” and assume that means a thriving media and technology enterprise. In reality, they are funding a high‑risk bitcoin and hype machine with a tiny, unproven media business attached. When the narrative fades or the crypto bets go against them, it won’t be Trump or insiders left holding the bag. It will be the shareholders who trusted the story.
If you care about investing in actual businesses – with products, customers, and a path to sustainable profits – this isn’t it. This is a con dressed up as a company.
Would expect anything less from Trump

You obviously did go to law school, or if you did you flunked out. Any “person” (not just citizen) has most civil rights, including 1st Amendment rights, under the US constitution. Upheld many times by the courts including the Supremes. New rule — People should have to pass a basic US civics test before they’re allowed to post on X.

@pkeulen@thetimes Wrong. The parade was specifically at Trump’ request. The other elements of the celebration have been planned for 2 years, during Biden term. A parade was never planned until your orange man president demanded one.
