@lisburnclaret Early on ALK promoted that they had a 'unique' data led approach to recruitment that meant we'd identify and sign the best young talent in Europe.
Problem is data only tells you so much - it doesnt tell you about character, decision making, game awareness/reading.
@The_Forty_Four Tchaouma is the type of player nearly all UK footballing academies are focusing on at the moment. Hes big, strong and very quick. Unfortunately hes not very good at football... but the whole philosophy at the moment is on athleticism over technical ability.
I absolutely love the Championship and it's competiveness
But the fact we are 4th with our drab, dreary, unattractive football does suggest the general standard must be a lot worse this year
@TheBurnleyWay I agree it's dull and boring. The one thing I do sympathise with him on is there's noone on the bench to change a game. Plus Anthony is a league 1 player. Hardly any creativity within the squad of fit players
Fair play to Parker for making changes. Still room for improvement but much better performance that. Anthony looks much more dangerous on the right. Sarmiento looked bright. Back 4 played well. We're a better side with Pires playing.
@TheBurnleyWay His goals and work rate hide his limited quality on the ball. Can't play with his back to goal so is hesitant to show for the ball and has a limited passing range.
Useful in a Dyche direct style side. But gets found out in a possession based team.
