Thank you for raising these concerns. We would like to inform you as follows;

There are functional ICU units in all Regional Referral Hospitals. We have also gone further to establish fully equipped standalone ICU complexes, with independent theatres and High Dependency Units in Hoima, Kabale and Arua. Additional specialized human resources are being trained to strengthen staffing for these ICU units.

All 16 Regional Referral Hospitals have functional and accessible CT scans. The MRI scans are available in Butabika, Mulago and Mbarara.

Dialysis units have been extended to Hoima, Mbarara, Lira and we are working to ensure these are scaled up to all Regional Referral hospitals.

Laboratory services have been established across the country including satellite laboratories in Fort Portal, Mbarara, Mbale, Lira and the National Health Laboratory in Butabika.

Lubowa Hospital is taking good shape. The current status of works include electrical, mechanical and plumbing.

All frontline health workers who worked during the recent Ebola outbreak were paid. The Ministry also continues to support the welfare of the teams supporting the Ebola treatment units and response in neighbouring DRC.

One problem we have in this generation are well packaged delulus. There is a category of women the public has given platform to influence minds by packaging themselves as successful, wise and knowledgeable yet they are not. A category whose source of the so called “success is prostitution, wrecking marriages to secure already made men and also recruiting other girls into prostitution. A lot of these women when they receive 1m from a man they think that it comes easy. Very disheartening advice to the young girls. A whole wife to a known pastor. Does she know where her husband started from? What qualifies you to make such a demand of a man building himself? You people need to stop looking successful to give motivational speeches that have nothing profound to justify them? Has she ever built a house or started a business from scratch without the help of a man? Who let the whores out?
You will not actually find a woman who has genuinely developed a career or business by herself speak like this. She deep down knows what it takes. Unlike these delulus that never have any substantial work they do. Wewanikeko ewani? Which value do you have that informs your shallow speeches?
