@HMRCcustomers So how can I find out the answer to what should be a simple question? By the way the chat does not give a link for an adviser so what will change when an adviser becomes available?
@HMRCcustomers This is ridiculous! In the time this chat with your team has taken someone could have just looked up the information and given me the answer. Is there not an email address you can give me if someone who can just give me an answer?
@HMRCcustomers Message I got was โ our advisers are not available to discuss your query at the momentโ I have left page open but how long will I have to sit and watch it for it to change?
@HMRCcustomers I complained previously in 2025 about the lack of communication options available and in August 2025 was off weed compensation. I replied asking if payment could be made to a non uk bank account - still waiting for an answer 1 year later!
@HMRCcustomers I chatted to the digital assistant who was of no use and suggested talking to an advisor but when I click in that link it just says no advisor available. How am I supposed to get any answers?
@HMRCcustomers PAYE. I was notified that I was due a refund and followed instructions to reply by post to specify where refund was to be paid. Letter received and action marked as completed according to website but no sign of refund in my account
@HMRCcustomers So what youโre telling me is that HMRC wants everyone to use their website, makes it really difficult for people to contact you, and then relies on outdated snail mail to make the process even more inconvenient and difficult for customers
@HMRCcustomers have been trying to call you from overseas to follow up on a double tax relief application received by you on 3/12/24.
3 times I have been on hold, waiting to be connected, for 30 minutes and phone just cuts off.
Digital assistant worse than useless.
Any ideas?
@HMRCcustomers Problem with that is I live in the middle of the country side and mail is sporadic at best, mostly nonexistent.
Thatโs why I requested communication by email
@Zulaila82153837@basilthegreat I agree that there are many examples of more conservative values in play, but I do think it very much depends where you are and who the local ruling party is.
@Hazel_nyc1 @benonwine Then why should British cultures and traditions have to change? If they want to live in Britain they need to adapt and assimilate, respect British culture and traditions, not the other way round.
@Neccccy Undecided! She is brilliant at saying what most sane people are thinking but not sure she would be able to โtoe the party lineโ if she didnโt believe it was best for her constituents & the country. Could be a short gig
