When do we tag up to 2nd and 3rd? When the ball is hit high & deep as a baserunner we can see and determine if we can out run the throw. We look for the OF to be camped under the ball to make sure he’s going to make the catch. Baserunners lose a ton of chances to gain 90 feet on this play. Remember a lot of things need to happen correctly for you to get thrown out! Outfielders are way worse than you think that’s why they aren’t infielders!
