This week, the 28th annual bi-partisan wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, which is held every year to honor fallen servicewomen, was cancelled after several branches of the military would not participate due to White House and Pentagon policies prohibiting diversity events.

Honoring our service members should never be political. Which is why rain or shine, the Democratic Womens Caucus showed up to honor our servicewomen at the capital and recognize those who have served our nation with courage, sacrifice, and distinction.
