The BBC has just released a BOMBSHELL interview with the CEO of energy provider EDF.

Among other things, he called the UK's energy policy "ideologically driven", and that "we are probably walking into another significant energy crisis," just four years after the last one. 🧵

[Barrister's Horse @BarristersHorse]

The most ardent of European supporters of the EU have changed their tune in recent times, admitting it is dysfunctional, economically harmful and woefully behind the times.

It's energy and industrial policies have ruined once powerful nations, making them uncompetitive.

Its borders leak like a sieve and as a result we all suffer the burden of thousands pouring into our countries with no right to do so & an expectation of being clothed, housed & fed, all courtesy of state welfare funds.

It can't be arsed to protect or promote what it has/had; China has picked up where Europe left off.

Iceland has recently voted not to resume EU membership negotiations.

Yet Labour are stuck in the 1970's, believing in something clearly no longer fit for purpose.

In news that will shock nobody, Labour’s insane ‘one in one out’ deal for migrants with France has been scrapped.

The Tories and Labour have paid the French a billion pounds of your money to keep sending us illegals.

Time to put the Navy in the Channel, secure our border, and deport all the illegals the Tories and Labour allowed in.

[Chris Rose @ArchRose90]

Andy Burnham, May 2026:

"I am not proposing that the UK considers rejoining the EU, I respect the decision that was made at the referendum."

Andy Burnham, September 2026:

I will consider going all the way to rejoin the EU after the next GE.

He lied.

[Britain Unbound @BritainUnbound]

The Prime Minister says that he wants a consensus view from the British people, on the long term EU relationship.

Lucky for him, we've gathered up that data for him already. The consensus view is to stay out and retain our sovereign control of our laws, money and borders.

Lord Christopher Monkton explains the communist plan to enforce net zero on the world where the communist Chinese economy was exempt from the treaty.
China is now 33% of all world emissions up from 14% when the Copenhagen treaty was first signed !
It’s all a scam and a hoax to bring in a communist world government system

[Gully Foyle #UKTrade @TerraOrBust]

A gentle reminder for @andyburnham and @labour4europe.

The majority of Brits are not willing to sacrifice sovereign control of UK trade policy for greater Single Market access. your own Labour voters, even the Liberal Democrats, are against it.

This *IS* the consensus.

In summer 2023 Dr Colin M. Barron published a book, I Will Never Buy an Electric Car, in which he set out all the shortcomings of EVs. Now, three years later, he says the case has only got worse. https://t.co/4GWeHqKNqf

"Brexit 10 years on: Business does not want a referendum rerun, says CBI chief"

From June (and of course, this was also what Burnham had been saying back then to get over the line in Makerfield... 🤔)

[Matt Goodwin @GoodwinMJ]

Do you see what’s happening?

Andy Burnham says he will “take back control” by handing control over immigration policy to … the United Nations and “faith groups”.

He says he will “take back control” by refusing to leave the European Convention on Human Rights, which means we cannot control or deport criminals & illegals.

And then he says he will “take back control” by handing control over our economy and country to … the European Union, locking us into policies we cannot influence and institutions that aren’t democratic.

Again: do you see what’s happening?

[Andrew Neil @afneil]

‘Incident’. Really?

[Toby Young @toadmeister]

The Government is keeping a blacklist of people who question its policies, with social media posts criticising the Government being monitored and investigated by officials. https://t.co/9HlhUPcfeu

"I once claimed that I wanted to take power out of Westminster before announcing that I wanted to hand it all back to Brussels."

Burnham Says Brexit Has Hurt Britain. Yet UK Growth Has Beaten Germany, France and Italy.

Since the referendum:
🇬🇧 UK +13.2%
🇫🇷 France +12.8%
🇮🇹 Italy +10.7%
🇩🇪 Germany +7.8%
🇪🇸 Spain +21.5%

Burnham says Brexit has done “more harm than good”.

That sweeping claim is a lot harder to square with the actual growth figures. 👇

Other revelations:

• At a Lahore conference, Ikram criticised the government’s silence over media attacks on judges, saying it was “giving into the right of [the] media’s freedom of speech”, according to the organisers’ report.

• The judicial guidance he helped edit tells judges to explore any “cultural way of thinking or mode of behaviour”, even if lawyers have not raised it.

• Its section on “saving face”, particularly in East Asian cultures, advises judges to “soften any negative or critical comments if possible”.

• Discussing a police officer he jailed over racist WhatsApp messages, Ikram told an American audience: “So I gave him a long prison sentence. The police were horrified by that.”

• At a British Pakistan Foundation webinar alongside Ikram, another magistrate described how his knowledge of Pakistani culture had influenced cases, including one in which “the young man was set free”.

EXCLUSIVE: Tan Ikram, deputy chief magistrate, is an adviser to a Pakistani organisation that referred to “so-called ‘grooming gangs’” and called Suella Braverman’s comments about British-Pakistani gangs “reprehensible”.

My investigation reveals:

• He targeted Bradford to encourage Pakistani lawyers to become judges: “[Bradford has] lots and lots of Pakistani practitioners… I specifically went there to reach out to that particular group of lawyers.”

• He is listed as an adviser to the British Pakistan Foundation, which attacked Braverman over her grooming-gang comments and condemned the “collective punishment of the Palestinians” following October 7. Ikram spared three women punishment for a terrorism offence involving paraglider images.

• Grooming gang survivor Fiona Goddard called his association with the foundation “deeply concerning”, asking: “Why is a senior judge connected to such a partisan group?”

• He helped organise a meeting between judges and senior imams at the Old Bailey.

• He sits on the Judicial Appointments Commission and has helped edit the guidance judges use on race and cultural differences.

• He said he used his ethnicity as “a bit of an advantage” in his legal career. He also said his mother “today doesn’t really speak English”, despite coming to Britain in the early 1960s.

I’ve examined his speeches, interviews, links to Pakistani and Muslim groups and rulings.

This is shocking...but also not shocking at the same time.

A shocking betrayal of the British people:

[spiked @spikedonline]

Shabana Mahmood’s new asylum routes for Afghans and Palestinians are a Trojan horse for unstoppable chain migration. As soon as the first migrant reaches British soil, they will bring relatives with them. This is not what control looks like, says Rob Bates
https://t.co/SUgUqoSNQT

[Gully Foyle #UKTrade @TerraOrBust]

So all the scheme achieved was for the UK to take *more* migrants. We paid France £78 Million of taxpayer money, to accept an extra 30 migrants.

We, the taxpayer, paid £2.6 Million each for those migrants.

They better s**t gold bricks son.
