When I see Izuhara's PutleStory/Pantos Story projects brought up by a random western account it's generally always immature/ironic towards the creative message and art. It's disappointing to see as an academic. Translating and localizing his work for videos was a great enjoyment.
I'm half-way through localizing it for the vid, so I hope to record the video and talk about all this stuff before May as I'm also busy with like many other none Youtube art projects.
Translating PutleStory's been pretty easy but localizing it for the upcoming video's been slowing down things in a good way. The original wordage is not cohesive to English speaking so rewording the script to flow properly has been priority without changing any of the intent etc.
It's a lil weird playing them backwards and learning all the lore and extras from Akihito's animations, the now dead PutleStory Flash retelling, and the Mangosteen website itself but viewing the whole scope of Akihito's project that's out there I still just find it fascinating.
How the hell are there Hunger Games movies still being made, that’s like telling me Big Bang Theory’s still getting new seasons or they’re onto the 10th Twilight movie.
