“Mike Will Made it”…..is a tag that I’ve been hearing I’m not gonna say my career because it’s been expands way before that. I can remember hearing that around 2011 2012 when I just got my academic suspension notification from Prairie view A&M university and I’m back at home. I’m not gonna say depressed, but I guess it was depressed, nervous scared, confused, not knowing what to do with the rest of my life, but it just seemed like everything was over at that time and I really wanted to just go back to school in the spring and you know be with my fellow band members and people who I met at college but life had other choices. Well I made other choices. I should’ve got my ass up and went to class, but that’s another story but I remember hearing est. 1989 (last of a dying breed) that December 2011 I remember it so vividly from the album cover but also because I was watching the Santa Claus because we didn’t have cable at the time and it was the holiday season so I ended up watching that movie over and over and over well into the new year well doing that time. I was I mean I was out of college so I was like I guess I’ll be a producer and go back to this music thing and Mike Will Made It was someone who I heard along with a lot of what was going on in Atlanta Sonny Digital, etc. but I heard a shift happening in music. You know this is around the time where mixtapes were again like Sonny Digital said it was the G league you know they had like you know your studio releases, but the mixtapes really ran the streets and I was seeing something bubbling well hearing something bubbling rather and then of course that same year future hit the scene with Raccs on Raccs on Raccs talk about a Smash song just taking over.
