After UNGA, this year’s Gridlock Alert Days, when traffic is expected to be at its slowest and most congested, are:

•Tues, 12/13-Thurs, 12/15

During UNGA, cyclists will use the 1st Ave Tunnel from 40th-49th Sts. On 2nd Ave, a temporary bike lane will be in effect from 47-42 St until 9PM each day. Cyclists will be subject to security checkpoints & occasional, unannounced traffic freezes.

Today we announced the 2022 Gridlock Alert Days, including 9/19-9/23 during the @UN General Assembly. Drivers should expect extensive street closures & delays across Manhattan on these days. #BikeNYC lanes on 1st & 2nd Aves will remain open during UNGA.
