I feel like I remember a time where leaders would take these types of dilemmas very seriously. Demand evidence before destroying us. Try to do what's right for the country. Protect its systems. Didn't America used to stand for those kind of principles or did I just imagine that?

So here's my bone to pick with #RudyGiuliani The fact that in 2020 he boldly announced to the American public that the election was fraudulent, w/out bothering to make sure it was 100% true. Knowing full well what it would do to our country. How deeply it would divide us.

He did it anyway. Decided he was fine w/ the damage it would cause to our democracy and the decades of mistrust it would sow. He didn't care. I expect that behavior from Trump, but I didn't expect it from him. I had bought his whole 9/11 act.

@ACTBrigitte Gen Z has just as much rights as you do. And they grew up with access to more information at their age than literally any generation before them. Just because many of them don’t think like you, doesn’t mean they don’t know how to think. It’s their world too. They have a vote.

What’s more likely? That nearly every branch of law enforcement & govt is after Trump because he’s a man of the people? Or that he’s just really good at criming (like his mentor Roy Cohn taught him) and therefore they’ve made it their mission to finally take him down?

@TheNewJerseys @bennyjohnson Elon being an expert at rockets, does not make him an expert in humans, or things as complex as free speech in this new digital age where we are already deeply divided. He can afford to bring in actual experts and listen to them. I sure hope he does.

Have you ever researched Roy Cohn? Or his lifelong friend Roger Stone? I don't know a lot of good men who have friends like that.

This ends justifies the means attitude that's been going on for decades is what paved the way for a guy like Trump. It has to stop.

I used to buy into their story on that as well, but after going back further historically and looking at trends I'm starting to doubt whether that is actually true.

@bennyjohnson Omg it's not that confusing if you know anything about human nature. It's likely Pelosi gathered pretty quickly this guy was disturbed & started negotiating for his life as one would, hoping he could talk him down off his crazy. Maybe even succeeded for a minute and then boom.
