You have to keep trying. The world, your world, against you, you have to keep trying. You will fail more times than is comfortable. It will hurt. But none of this means anything if you don’t try. Catch that fucking bird. You can be a real human being.
So at some point it will be:
Griffin SS
Lowe 2B
Reynolds LF
Valdez RF
O’Hearn DH
Gonzalez 3B
Cruz CF
Rodriguez C
Horwitz 1B
Or something? Where do you put Horwitz and Cruz?
And then this is your bench:
Mangum CF
Davis C
Callihan 3B/OF
Triolo 3B/SS
Just incredible.

In Latvian exile I was able to tell 5 of the most annoying people I’ve ever met (all British) that their society was collapsing, the American private sector would weather any storm that the British couldn’t and that the UK was on track to be the first “formerly developed” country
Disclosure Day: The best part of a Spielberg movie is his use of tracking shots and shadows. Every frame feels lived in.
The second best is seeing what in a given shot is about his parent’s divorce. Yeah man, the female MC has a panic attack next to a piano on a train. Why not
Great guys. I think about four time all star and hall of fame glue guy Mark Melancon as the standard for good relief pitching. Grilli/Hanrahan were always dependable closers. Hughes flew under radar in a great lineup but he could deal. Watson was baseball’s last great setup man
Batman 1989 is a great movie when feeling bummed out. Effectively a very well-done live action cartoon. Keaton’s Batman feels the most in-sync with the comics and balances West’s camp with the gothicness of the character. Gorgeous to look at
