🇷🇺🇪🇺 On February 10, 2007, exactly 19 years ago, President Putin made his famous speech in Munich, a speech that would shock the west.

The ignorance of western leaders at the time is what led to the conflict in Ukraine.

Putin tried for years to cooperate with the west and what did they do? Kept pushing NATO closer to Russia's borders, he asked for a joint military partnership as diplomacy, they turned him down.

They tried to belittle Russia and he came out and challenged them on their stage. He criticized their betrayal to international law and argued a unipolar world under the US was unacceptable.

A Russia they thought they had brought to its knees after the USSR collapse was standing again. They were all dumbfounded. Many dismissed this speech which is probably the most important piece which has led to the recent tensions. And still the west acts righteous.
