Requiring solar panels on new homes should be a no-brainer. Labour should not cede to pressure from developers who want to reduce costs
New homes must be fit for the future. That means super high insulation, energy-efficient heating, and solar as standard

OK, that’s a wrap on #EASST4S2024. Tired but also stimulated by four amazing days of talks and seeing friends and colleagues. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.
I’ve had a blast at day one of #EASST4S2024 catching up with friends both old and new, listening to some good talks, including an excellent Plenary by @alondra and Brice Laurent and reuniting with the @ssosnetwork crew. Now time to sleep before day 2.
Amazed to see Bournemouth turn red. The place where I was once told by a former school teacher that you could put a blue rosette on a beach donkey and people there would vote for it. Incredible.
Pleased with the outcome, but the #generalection2024 results just underscore the unfairness of the so called first past the post system. But with results like this there’s no incentive for Labour to change it.
This is an incredible piece of work by @JonathanPieNews.
From the research, to the sequencing, to the performance.
You want to know why so many people are turning away from vapid MSM and looking to political comedy & alternative news? Look no further. 👇
Really pleased to report that 'Enabling futures?' by the wonderful @HannahnagroM and @TuttonRichard, part of our 'Future/Tense' special issue of @JSociology, is trending this week 👍👍. Open access too! Check it out: https://t.co/b3lTMEPLIi
@HannahnagroM@davidabbottbris @BarbptToronto No worries.. really appreciate the reference! I’m giving a talk on futurelessness next week, so good to add another contribution to how social scientists are approaching these issues.
@HannahnagroM@davidabbottbris @BarbptToronto I haven’t seen that paper before either, but it seems very relevant and I look forward to reading and learning from it. https://t.co/FiGkyQ38vv
