COSPPac - UNEP funded training day 10 focuses on Climate Change in the Pacific, Pacific Climate Change Data Portal and CliDE database. These sessions help NMHS to analyse their historical data to produce their National State of Climate Report and other relevant country reports.
COSPPac - UNEP funded training day 9 focuses on Media training and Ocean and Climate Outlook Forum (OCOF). The media training focus on how you can utilise the media equipment to further outreach to local communities on climate products.

Great to join the Tuvalu National Environment Week. There were plenty of learning, exchange of ideas and activities such as clean up campaign, booth visits,and recycle activities.
Tuvalu - A small country in the Pacific with population of more than 11,000 with the highest elevation on the country is their dump site. One can feel the everyday challenges of climate change.

SPREP - The Tuvalu climate training provides an opportunity for senior climate officers to take lead in installing seasonal prediction platforms and helping with CLIKP, PICASO and SCOPIC exercise. Developing capacity within the NMS is for long term sustainability.
This week, staff from the Tuvalu Meteorological Service join other government departments and civil society organizations in Funafuti to participate and engage in technical training on climate and ocean science and coastal hazard assessment and monitoring.
