@Blowme866535@nut_history Not true. In umpire training they teach you to be still and let the player commit to a path. Once he does, you pivot the other way. If the ump is pro-active here and C picks the same path, the collision happens anyway. In this instance, C picked straight line. 🙂
@RedsDaily4 Classic difference between NYC and Midwest Nice. Day was trying to be nice and not run the egg roll down. This dude was going to have this same reaction regardless of how it tasted. It’s why I live here and not there.
@Fantavious9 Not sure he can straddle the plate without the ball, but he can certainly move 1-2’ toward 3B & give the runner the back half. By doing so he receives the ball sooner and is more certain to get good contact early on the tag attempt as opposed to “reaching for it” where he was.
@isaacschade@NCAA@DiamondHeels@WVUBaseball Higher seed home GM 1-4. GM 5 (1-1 v 1-1), the team that won on Day 1 is home team. GM 6, 2-0 team is home. GM 7 (2-1 v 2-1), coin flip. If 2 non Top 16 teams meet in GM1-4, I’m fine w coin flips. (Theoretically 17-32 were “seeded” even though they don’t show it. They should.)
@Fantavious9@NCAA@NCAABaseball@SeminoleAlford Wrong. 1 & 2 home Day 1. Better seed home in both games Day 2. Day 1 winner home in the 1-1 game on Day 3. 2-0 team home v 2-1 team on Day 3. Coin flip for winner take all game on Day 4. 1 seed / home should keep their dugout in all games regardless of whether home or visitor.
@CardChronicle Name him Pitching Coach (with Roger already moving “upstairs” and out of the dugout), Assistant Head Coach and Head Coach in Waiting (assuming Dan’s timetable is amenable to hanging it up in the next couple years).
@notgaetti It’s like underhanded free throws. Bros think it looks stupid so despite tons of data showing it works (for example, if Shaq had shot “granny/Rick Berry style,” his career would have been more impressive and “Hack-a-Shaq” would have been wildly less effective) it doesn’t happen.
@dominiclisti Should be:
1 home v 4
2 home v 3
Better seed home in the 1-0 v 1-0 game
Coin flip home in 0-1 v 0-1 game
Loser of 1-0 game home in 1-1 v 1-1 game (GM5)
2-0 home v 2-1 team (GM6)
Coin flip for GM7
Host team should always keep their dugout.
@burkegranger As a Louisville fan, I “hate watched” most of it via #SqueezePlay and can’t argue the point. If Mingione won’t pay them, McDonnell should call and set up a pre-conference weekend. I’d go. At the very least, get a home & home midweek on the books.
@InsideVilleBsb Your dogged pursuit of info on this program is admirable. Even when there is only 1 mic at the postgame interviews, even the tough ones the past few years, we all know who it is.
