Hey @MonroAutoTire. I have a terrible headache and nausea. My ears are ringing and I am covered in sweat and grime. Why? The AC your boys in Blue Bell PA "fixed" TWICE in two months (for what amounts to 3/4 of my paycheck combined) wouldn't work for my commute home.
@theDRAMAgoat1 In addition to all the good ideas folks put here, i would: -Set up name labels for books, folders, etc.
-Put my 5 min. warning alarms in my phone for each class period.
-Draft my back to School night presentation
-Customize my digital planbook
@theDRAMAgoat1 Yes, one of those people who thinks it's perfectly acceptable to exploit and then emotionally blackmail teachers if they dare say anything about it 🙄
Pres and VP visited my school back in May. My students thought seeing Biden was ok, but were stoked to see Harris. You cannot overestimate what her candidacy means to young people of color, especially girls.
@theDRAMAgoat1 Had to turn in lesson plans weekly. I put some crazy stuff in there at first ("Congratulate self on ficus purchase" as an objective), so I knew no one was looking. Submitted the same one over and over. No one ever noticed. In fact, I was praised for always having them in on time.
Fricknadorable is happy to be part of Make Music Day 2024 at the Norristown Public Library @ 2pm June 21.
Make Music Day is a free, all-day, open-access, celebration of music in all its forms.
@alfiekohn This is dependent upon the teacher (I am 27 years in... I'm confident enough in what I'm doing to be able to back it with research and evidence should it be called into question) and the administrator (who can range from knowledgeable and open to.... total asshat).
The worst, possible thing that could happen to a school is it be run by a terrible administrator. Teachers leave, students hate school, parents are left feeling hopeless. Many schools fail because certain “leaders” simply cannot lead.
