Do you work with a 🎤 ?
Worry your #broadcast#podcast#voiceover#zoom voice is monotone?
You get ignored or talked-over in meetings?
Told to speak up?
End the day with a tired throat?

@theAliceRoberts Hi Alice. Just wanted to tell you how much I’m enjoying your Bart’s series (I understand you are prod, writer and pres). Full of OMG facts and love the overall production/graphics too. Honestly, a highlight of my week. Many thanks!
@ClareEmmadunne hey. Watched Herself last night. Great original storytelling with twists. Great acting (those girls!!) and emotion throughout. Thanks for writing and being in it Clare!
@KateLeeComms@BBCTheArchers Hacked into the big screen at the shopping centre! Absolutely ludicrous. It’d be live on Insta, TikTok, YouTube (at no cost and no hacking required). Was this an attempt to avoid using those social media names?!
@KateLeeComms@BBCRadio4@BBCSounds Absolutely. A number of times I’ve heard “they’re a really good newsreader, they’ve got such a lovely voice” - but they have no sense of tone, pitch, pace, pause, intonation etc. I have to turn off some stations for three mins at the top of the hour because they grate so much.
@KateLeeComms@Odicean@BBCRadio4@BBCTheArchers Just a thought. This week’s episodes like the ‘scam’ week have been mostly self-contained (little link with prev storylines), so giving writers time to develop big lines - or rewrite existing ones, perhaps to inc ramifications of June Spencer’s death.
@KateLeeComms@BBCTheArchers When it’s great - and I have been listening for 50+ years - it is great. But some whole episodes stand out for being totally unnatural.
@KateLeeComms Agreed. For me, scenes are always better when Fallon Rogers/Joanna van Kampen is in them. Her intonation, timing and non-dialogue sounds are superb.
