@tq2871820@KiariStone@lynettepillled@JH_747_ I said I because my personal experience was I never had a man take me to the bathroom when I was growing up omg. I also (mentioned earlier) that I don't recall ever seeing adult men standing around inside women's restrooms waiting on their children.
@PrincessBfan29@JH_747_ Realistically anytime a child goes into a bathroom unaccompanied (Im talking 6, 7 8) you are trusting that they will be safe. You don't even know who is in there. What do you do at an airport? Clear 25 stalls?
@Regelitoo@JH_747_ I am hearing it's crazy. I thought normal. Maybe common not normal? Idk. I don't remember being a kid and seeing grown men in the women's restroom. My knee jerk reaction having been a 8 yr old girl is why is there a man in here.
@KiariStone@lynettepillled@JH_747_ Ok. That's worth nothing to me but I'd assume a lot to you. Cool ๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ
It does not negate the fact that like over 90% of sexaul assault is done by someone the victim knows.
@JH_747_ "I just stand by the door and ask someone going in or coming out if they could make sure she's alright." And I said oh, that makes sense. And went on with my life.
@JH_747_ ๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ I really have no dog in the fight. I'm a woman. When I take my kid to the bathroom it's not a big deal. I have a single dad friend who asked me to take his youngest to the br while we were out once, no big deal. When I came out I asked "what do you normally do" and he said
@PrincessBfan29@JH_747_ 93% of sexual assault is by someone known guys. Sexual assault victims are targeted for very specific reason usually family and familiarity related. They do it because they think they can get away with it because you know them.
@KiariStone@lynettepillled@JH_747_ Also, statistically the babysitter is SIGNIFICANTLY more likely to assault or abuse a child than a stranger in the bathroom. Hell, a father is more statistically likely to do that. Background checks show a history of getting caught not a history or offending.
@KiariStone@lynettepillled@JH_747_ I don't care what you or anyone else does in terms of potty training their kids or whatever. But I'm not going to judge them for doing it differently than me. I can't recall being 12 in the bathroom with a 40 yr old man standing by the sink with arms folded waiting for his kid ?
@KiariStone@lynettepillled@JH_747_ We live in a country where people send their children to daycare but want to admonish a father for standing outside the bathroom door while a woman goes in with their daughter to pee? Does that not sound misplaced ?
@KiariStone@lynettepillled@JH_747_ I think it's up to the comfort level of the parent. Maybe they, as a grown man know them going into the women's restroom will make girls uncomfortable. Maybe the daughter is trying to prove she's a big girl and can do it on her own. It could be a bunch or reasons.
@EqR1n@JH_747_ Oh I'm not against a father taking his kid to the bathroom. I just don't think waiting outside the door and asking the a lady walking in 'can you keep an eye on her' is negligent parenting worth of stoning.
I don't think you're cat should bite you. Like ever. Dog either. But some people act like cat scratches and bites are a regular occurrence and it shouldn't be.
