Backup/continuation from the time my main account got banned. Both accounts now abandoned - find me on the TARDIS-coloured firmament. Still available for work!
Favourite lie I've told my kids is that The Artist Formerly Known As Prince was only the size of a cat and had to have special clothes and shoes made just for him. They asked where he is now I told them someone asked him to hold their party balloon and he floated off into the sky
My uncle is panicking. He’s running against a strong Black woman—and a former prosecutor—who isn’t afraid to call him out or mock him. His whole campaign strategy was based around attacking Joe Biden—his age, his infirmity, his cognitive decline. It was all projection, of course, but because Pres. Biden is old and has slowed down in the last four years, and because he doesn’t shout or bully, Donald was able to make the attacks stick thanks, in large part, to his foot soldiers in the corporate media.
People get pissed off about the fridge in Crystal Skull, but there's *sort of* a scientific conceit for that, however flimsy. Whereas Indy would almost certainly be dead after three to four set pieces in the first hour of Temple of Doom, and no one cares...
@Rickus_gamecat I don't really mind the stuff in either film in terms of actually watching them, but the fan reaction makes them both slightly infuriating. Given I'm a Who fan and almost every criticism can just be consumed in whataboutery, I should know better...
@TheCyberdevil Everything Ian says about them makes them a further turn off, too. Matthew is right. Ian's attitude poisons people off them even more than the frequently wonky likenesses, instances of slapdash animation, and the general sense of half arsing with AI rather than actual artistry.
@TheCyberdevil Despite numerous deeply unpleasant & frustrating encounters with Ian in the past I went in to them with an open mind - especially as I agreed Toymaker looked *rank*, & I thought they showed promise at first. But he rushed them & has no sense of quality control. They're awful.
@oldandrewuk Also Toast of London and Extras. And I suppose, Black Books. And What We Do On The Shadows. It's a pity some of them are written by fairly unpleasant people, but art and the artist and all that...
@oldandrewuk Goodnight Sweetheart, just to mix it up a bit. It was a crime that revival pilot wasn't picked up, but other, quite shit ones were.
Also strong runners up - New Statesman. Blackadder. Coupling. Fawlty Towers. Father Ted (alas). Early Red Dwarf. Yes Minister. Dad's Army.
@samuel_z1993@anon_opin I was in them all the time before Brexit. One of the only reliable places for cheap (soft or alcoholic) drinks and cheap food in London with a roof over your head, where you could chill out and read/work for a bit if you had time to kill/a bad back but not much cash.
Happy 25th @bigfinish ! It was lovely to be in a few (I'm inexpensive and available for more!) and it's been a delight bingeing those early releases on the app two decades later whilst gardening, dog walking and gym-ing lately.
Happy 25 years to @bigfinish 🎉
