@Google @GoogleAccount Your recovery system assumes every lockout is an attempted takeover. Sometimes it’s just the rightful owner caught in an edge case. There should be a way to verify ownership beyond a recycled phone number.

@Google @GoogleAccount If someone loses access to a recovery phone number through no fault of their own, why is there no human review for exceptional cases? Security is important, but so is protecting legitimate users from being permanently locked out of their own accounts.

@Google @googleaccount When a legitimate user loses access to a recycled recovery phone number, there seems to be no meaningful path to prove ownership. Knowing your password isn’t enough. Changing your recovery number isn’t enough. Waiting isn’t! There has to be a better way.
