After @tabconf, CEO @afilini workshoped Portal infront of the most talented & dedicated bitcoiners at @bitcoinpark_ Nashville.
We demonstrated a new decentralized protocol for auth, payments and showed off our @CashuBTC integration.
Jaws were dropped, follow to find out why.
While the incumbents require you to opt out of class action lawsuits,
The cypherpunks are building Ticketmaster 🎟️ replacements with Ecash lile @CashuBTC
While the incumbents collect and hoard your data, Ecash comes with built-in privacy.
Few.
Auth in 2025 sucks.
Wasted time, honey pots, data leaks, 101 steps just to log in.
Billions spent each year, and it still sucks.
This is why we need an open-source protocol that's seamless, decentralized, secure, puts the user back in control & just works.
We're building it.
Giacomo Zucco said he's bullish about our project for the future of bitcoin.
Now you have to follow us.
Become one of the first to try Portal when we launch, and find out why he's so bullish on us, and why you will be too.
We have to build technology that outcompetes the old surveillance infested internet.
With, bitcoin, lightning, nostr & ecash we are going to create a UX that outcompetes the old internet.
One that respects privacy.
Build it and they will come.

After 16 years of Bitcoin why isn't there a Google/Apple Pay alternative yet?
Is it really that hard to have a wallet where I can pay all my subscriptions, tickets etc...?
It is, and we're building it.
If you want this, follow us, you'll want to be the first to try it out.
Bitcoin has changed our psychology for what it means to SAVE MONEY.
Now bitcoiners are building on Lightning, Nostr, Ecash and Zero Kowledge protocols.
Soon we will all be able to easily & seemlesly SAVE our DATA, IDENTITY and PRIVACY.
We will no longer be the product.
Lightning is bitcoin's best interoperabilty layer.
However, ppl think that other L2s e.g: Ark from teams like @ArkLabsHQ@secondhq@arkade_os are competitors or replacements for lightning ⚡️
They're not.
Like @giacomozucco, we think lightning is the network of swaps and hops.
It's 2030.
You're a merchant receiving payment from a customer.
They want to pay with Bitcoin using eCash, but you were told your terminal only receives Bitcoin via Lightning... They try to pay and... Oh wait, it just worked? WTF?
You then go to pay your supplier. The problem is, they only have an Ark wallet as they are a low-volume supplier, and you only have Lightning. You try to make the payment... Oh shit, it just worked? What's going on?
The problem is now you have to pay your rent, and your landlord only accepts Bitcoin on-chain. You only have Bitcoin on Lightning. You try to make the payment with your wallet, and there is an atomic swap available to go on-chain with low fees.... It just worked?! WTF?
You realize that Lightning isn't just a layer 2 for Bitcoin...
It's an interoperability network for Bitcoin and all other layer 2s. All these payments were secure, non-custodial, and low fees, denominated in USD or whatever currency....
You realize you wasted years studying crypto, and Bitcoiners were right all along.
They don't know we're making privacy the default.
No more data harvesting
No more surveillance
No more fucking you over because they want YOU as THEIR PRODUCT.
This is why we have to build technology that outcompetes the old surveillance infested internet.
With, bitcoin, lightning, nostr & ecash we are going to create a UX that outcompetes the old internet.
One that respects privacy.
Follow us to be the first to see when we launch.
Nostr clients are not supposed to be wallets, just like any other service who just needs to get paid every once in a while.
That's why @PortalOnX acts as a proxy for NWC and enforces strict spending (and frequency limits), even denominated in fiat. And it runs on your phone, so there's no server to hack anywhere

This is why we need a simple, secure and "just works" Open-Source authentication protocol.
1) Gets rid of user-pass all together.
2) Companies can easily rely on to provide a quick & seamless login UX.
3) Decentrazlied infrastructure, prevents downtime.
It just happens that... we're building it.
