Been off Twitter awhile and gotta say, I'm loving our time apart. BUT I had to get on to tell you all I'm tabling at the Queer Zine Fest at the Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center in Allentown PA! 10/8! I'm giving all my zines out for FREE! Be there!

“Etsy has made so much money off your labor! Sure, we still keep your income for 45 days after each sale due to an unverified report, shadowbanned your shop after you “made too many sales”, and literally told people it didn’t exist, but we need more of your money to do nothing!”

Myles Taylor brings their personal experience into their written work, whether it’s slam poetry or an upcoming book on toxic masculinity.

Today in the distro, I held space for many folks needing company and the connections zines offer. Just a reminder, everyone is carrying a heavy burden right now and sometimes community care is simply listening with compassion.

The first colored card for the tarot deck I'm working on. The Hanged Man, which I've renamed Suspension. I'm feeling so fulfilled working on this :) It's gonna be called the Lionheart Tarot

@bladespark seriously though! What was the great one, out of curiosity?

[Twenty Two Zines @TwentyTwoZines]

i'm so sick of how books about animals/nature for adults are written as "memoirs of a white guy". in the first two paragraphs of this book on the serengeti the author describes spotting massai people as if they're zebras like "ooh look honey massai" ugh i want zoobooks for adults

[Neelam Tailor @NeelamTailor]

I'm doing a round-up of new and upcoming POC-run zines, comics, and publications for gal-dem. If there are any you have seen that I should include, please let me know! RTs welcome :)

Why are #zines so important? "At this moment, I'll say they're important to creators who need an outlet, to readers who feel alone, to any number of subcultures..." says Jenna Freedman, @barnlib.

Don’t make new years resolutions; make pacts with ancient forest beasts, make promises to old gods, make pledges to the deep wood, and most of all, trade your immortal soul for a terrible power that curls across your skin like uncurling ferns as you move through trembling pines
