Generally, yes.

There isn't anything about a woman that would make them bad drivers.... but let me explain...

Men are overconfident drivers. It means they will have the confidence to park in tight spaces but also the confidence to take unnecessary risks. This confidence makes them good drivers. And why wouldn't they be good drivers? Their fathers and uncles push them to drive. It is seen as a right of passage for us. It is not uncommon to find homes where the 13 year old brother is encouraged to drive but the 18 year old sister isn't.

Women are not encouraged to. When they drive, they drive in a society that tells them they are not capable. They try to park and they have 4 men waving instructions. Not parking attendants. Just random dudes in white vests and flip-flops. Something they would not do for a man. In any minor situation of difficulty, a man is there to try and save the day because he thinks he is not capable. Even when she has not asked for it. Even when she has not struggled. The universe will send a guy in a white vest and flip flops.

And unfortunately, a lot of women end up believing it.

This is why most of the time a man's bad driving is because of overconfidence and a woman's bad driving is because of the opposite of that.

When a man makes you say "What the fuck is this one doing?" It is usually because he is doing some overconfident nonsense like cutting through 3 lanes or almost kissing your bumper behind you.

When a woman makes you say that she is... I don't even know how to explain what they are doing. I haven't been cancelled yet this year. I wanna keep it that way.

And look, there are many amazing women drivers out there. They have done this outside of the doubt. Outside of the conditioning.

And when they show up on the roads confident we look at them, smile and say "Wena uDriver nje ngendoda" 🤷🏾‍️

Because we don't think overconfident driving is feminine... and therein lies the problem 👀 One you push to your kids, nieces and sisters.

THOKOZANI 🌞❤️

Sometimes you need to GET OUT OF THAT HOUSE! 😭😂

I know you love your own company. You enjoy your peace, your space, your bed, your PJs, your silence and your little kingdom where nobody is asking you, “Where are you going?” 😂

But my dear, uphila impilo, awulondolozi umzimba kwi-museum! 😭

Go outside once in a while.

Go to groove. 💃🏾
Go watch a movie. 🎬
Go eat something nice. 🍽️
Go for a walk.
Go sit in the park.
Go buy yourself an ice cream. 🍦
Go window shopping — even if your bank account is looking at you like, “Mntanami, ungazami.” 😂
Go sit somewhere and watch people pass.

Sometimes you don't need money. You need fresh air and sunlight.

And please understand this: being broke does NOT mean you must become furniture. 😭😂

Yes, money can be tight. Yes, life can be difficult. But don't start decorating your poverty with sadness and calling it “I'm just enjoying my peace.”

Sometimes you're not protecting your peace, you're hiding from life.

Phuma!

Go get KISSED BY THE SUN. 🌞
Let that African sun touch your forehead until your ancestors say, “Yebo, finally! This one has left the bedroom.” 😂😭

Open the windows.
Open the doors.
Let some light enter your house.
Water your garden. 🌱
Sit outside and pray.
Dance when your favourite song comes on.
Dance in the rain if the weather allows it.
Laugh at yourself.
Write your thoughts somewhere outside.
Watch the sunset.
Take a deep breath.

LET YOUR INNER CHILD COME OUT AND PLAY.

You don't always need a five-star holiday. Sometimes you need a R20 ice cream, a walk around the neighbourhood and five minutes of sunlight on your face. 😂

And please, have a life outside your relationship.

Your partner cannot be your entire universe. Yoh! 😭
Have your own friends.
Your own laughter.
Your own hobbies.
Your own little adventures.
Your own moments where nobody knows where you are because even wena awazi — you're just outside living! 😂

Enjoy your own company, yes.

But don't become so comfortable in isolation that you forget how beautiful it is to experience the world.

Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu.

Sometimes another person's smile will remind you that you're still alive.

Sometimes a random conversation will open a door you didn't know existed.

Sometimes leaving the house will expose you to an opportunity, a friendship, an idea, a song, a place, or even a version of yourself you had forgotten.

So get up.

Bath.

Wear something cute — even if you're only going to Shoprite. 😂

Put on your perfume.

Moisturise those knees.

Fix that hair.

And GO OUTSIDE! 😭😂

The world is not going to come knock on your door every day.

Phuma uyobona abantu, kodwa ungakhohlwa ukuthi nawe ungumuntu.

Get fresh air.
Get sunlight.
Get joy.
Get laughter.

GET KISSED BY THE SUN, MY DEAR. 🌞❤️

Because life is too short to spend every day sitting in the dark, feeling sorry for yourself, waiting for everything to become perfect before you allow yourself to LIVE.

Ungalindi impilo ikulungisele itafula. Phuma uyodla impilo ngezandla zakho.

Live a little.

Laugh loudly.

Love yourself.

And sometimes, go outside and let the sun remind you that you're still here. 🌞❤️

Women are literally finding self healing methods for PCOS on their own. They're trying to treat themselves. No healing methods are offered other than birth control pills. In an era where technology has advanced this much, they can't find a cure for PCOS.

[Mamzangwa 🌻 @Twidy_M]

So this is what awaits me when I go fill up again 😭😭
