Historically, the police force in America obviously had an institutional bias against black Americans, for example.

The history of the two countries is different, and that needs to be kept in mind.

Dating is the only time I find sexuality to be relevant. Otherwise, it doesn't factor in how I perceive others.

Ethnicity is more substantial to me.

I suspect a lot of gay men may jump to Restore in the future.

@Landeur @Nairobifatlover When people are singled out for a specific trait, they are more likely to feel a connection with others who share that trait, which establishes an in-group (community).

One does not need to be in contact with every member of an in-group to recognise it as such. Like ethnicity.

This ruling class can include members of that demographic.

I take it you're familiar with the "Uncle Tom" archetype? Virtually every Western institution is infested with its white equivalent.

I do not agree with the callous way some people have been treating this case. I'm disgusted by it.

Sadly, things like this on either side are not unexpected in multiculi societies.

Every other community is limited to carrying a non-fixed blade no longer than 3 inches.

The kirpan is not subject to any of this.

@parkeg1 @peterrhague @DAaronovitch Even if they somehow missed the trail of blood to him, he had a knife wound to the face, and you could hear him gargling blood as he was telling the police he had been stabbed.

They should have taken it seriously and immediately checked him, but they didn't. We all know why.

@dg3design @Neg_Bodhi_Image @jmc_fire @DAaronovitch Kirpans aren't necessarily small. As far as I can find, the typical modern Kirpan has a fixed blade that ranges from 3 to 6 inches.

However, it's worth bearing in mind that there is no limit on how long a Kirpan can be for public carry.

No other weapon is treated like this.

The rape gang coverups alone demonstrate that much.
