Just finished Tomohara's latest TCG shop viability tier list ranking games by how profitable they are to run as a specialist store

This one was really interesting...

Note: games within each tier are NOT ordered left to right

S Tier: Lorcana
• Same publisher as Duel Masters
• Strong Disney IP with global reach
• Gameplay foundation similar to MTG
• Fewer specialist store competitors right now
• Considered to have explosive growth potential

A Tier (Recommended): Duel Masters
• Long history
• Huge product pool
• Extremely popular
• Fewer rival specialist stores compared to Pokemon

Other notes:
• Digimon landed in B because demand for specialist stores is already largely met
• Pokemon is extremely competitive (specialists store-wise) with frequent market crashes and many specialist stores have gone out of business

@TransGraham Huge issue we deal with. Cardfight is our 3rd best seller and we have consistent event turnouts, but we barely get offered anything out of the regular Vanguard days. it sucks

Our in store Godzilla fans have told us they arent even interested in trying it because they have too many games already.

This Godzilla game from every business aspect is a horrible idea and will only lose stores money by bringing it on in mass quantities.

As a store we have decided for us its DOA and to not have it on our shelves.

Bushiroad players will treat Godzilla the same way Bandai players treated Battle Spirits Saga.

They will not play it or buy it due to not seeing enough support for the games that already exist.

VTubers and Japanese card game players vendiagram is practically a circle.

The amount of money people spent on VTubers and the internet take over of Vtubers is bigger than Godzilla.

If someone wasn't strategically buying out and manipulating the market we wouldn't have this problem.

It's plain as day for any store paying attention that the Cardfight! secondary market is horribly manipulated.

This is a big reason the American audience side isn't growing.

When will US Cardfight! Vanguard fans learn that the product isn't shorted, you just don't have stores buying it.

Since becoming a store we have gotten every case of Vanguard we ever ordered without delay or shortage.

That Bushiroad doesn't "mass print" is market manipulation.
