Despite the odds, Iโm still training and optimistic about the possibility of being part of the White House event. At the end of the day, Dana is the boss and itโs his call whether I compete that night or not. I do know Dana was really excited about the fight, and the door hasnโt been completely closed. Thatโs all a guy like me really needs. It sounds like another awesome goal to be inspired by. Sometimes in life, weโre not going to reach everything we set out to do and thatโs okay. But I like my chancesโฆ after all, one in a billion is exactly what it took to end up as Jon โBonesโ Jones in the first place.
It was an honor to share the octagon not once not twice but three times with this man. Thank you Dustin for being a warrior in the cage and even a greater person out of it. The sport is gonna miss you. Enjoy your retirement! Paid in full! Diamonds are forever. ๐ค๐ป @DustinPoirier
Tom Aspinall on PEDs in MMA:
"If your job is to physically hurt another person, which could potentially redirect the rest of their lives, you're an absolute piece of sh*t and you should never be able to fight again if you have any PED stuff...
It's like taking a gun to a knife fight. How can you look yourself in the mirror when you know that you're cheating. You could potentially damage the other person for life. It's disgusting."

Today, Iโm officially announcing my retirement from the UFC. This decision comes after a lot of reflection, and I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the journey Iโve experienced over the years.
From the first time I stepped into the Octagon, my goal was to push the boundaries of what was possible in this sport. Becoming the youngest UFC champion in history, defending my title against some of the best fighters in the world, and sharing unforgettable moments with fans across the globeโthese are memories Iโll cherish forever. Iโve faced incredible highs and some tough lows, but every challenge has taught me something valuable and made me stronger, both as a fighter and as a person.
I want to thank the UFC, Dana, Hunter, Lorenzo, God, my family, coaches, teammates, and all the fans who have stood by me through every chapter. Your unwavering support and belief in me have been my foundation. To my fellow fighters, thank you for bringing out the best in me and for the respect weโve shared inside and outside the cage.
As I close this chapter of my life, I look forward to new opportunities and challenges ahead. MMA will always be a part of who I am, and Iโm excited to see how I can continue to contribute to the sport and inspire others in new ways. Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey with me. The best is yet to come.
