A lot of businesses have suffered & in some cases have folded up as a result of the nonchalant attitude of employees.
We need to improve the work ethic values for employees at the base of the pyramid. A positive attitude to work & a warm smile to customers can make a difference.
As an entrepreneur, how often do you get to work before your staff? Or how many times in a week do your customers have to call you to ask if you are open because there is no one around to attend to them?
This pain is so real for many entrepreneurs who have terrible employees.
When you initially employ staff for your small business, they are committed, loyal & amazing such that you think you have the best support in the world
Somehow along the line, they become complacent & fall off track by being lazy & carefree. Is this your story as an entrepreneur
Where are those who run their own businesses & employ staff?
I want to encourage you to remain strong because the challenges that come with managing people can be overwhelming.
It can be pretty difficult to sell your vision to your staff so they can help you run your ambition.
CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS....
The little consistent effort you put into achieving your goal(s) is what guarantees your success.
The more consistent the effort the more consistent and greater the result
@sola_akinbo@Mr_JAGs You're absolutely correct.
His family helped him to start afresh after Spain issue. He sold everything he had again to arrange a visa & ticket to SA. He had only $10 on him.
Though he was being mentally lazy, I saw a desperate man. Remember, a desperate man is a dangerous man.
@elbethelconcept Throughout the journey and my stay in SA, I was reflecting on the Nigerian situation.
We have a big problem at hand and my prayer is that it shouldn't get any worse than we presently have it otherwise.......?
After almost 2hrs of hearing one of the most horrific story a promising young man could have gone through, what further advise was I going to give him?
Y/M: Boss, but if you no mind, even if na $20, just help me with am make I take manage for S/A.
Me: Here's $100. All the best.
Me: so what are you going to do in S/A?
Y/M: Na to go hustle like other people. If na to sell akara, I go sell. If na job, me sef go do.
Me: what's Job😳?
Y/M: Drugs now
Me: In my mind (Is this guy ok? Is this what it means to give up on life? Is our country this terrible?)
Me: So after being deported, why are you now going to S/Africa?
Young Man: There is nothing in Nigeria. There is no hope for you when you are unemployed & you can't eat. The system is frustrating.
Me: so where did you get money to make this trip?
Y/M: Na family oh.
Young man: The white man is very wicked oh? Would you believe they used plier to forcefully remove my teeth (showing me a half broken tooth) & also used plier to cut off my finger (he showed me his half fore finger).
He told me he was recently deported to Nigeria from Spain.
Me: How did you get to Spain?
Young Man: I went through the desert. I was one of the few who survived the journey to Europe. Unfortunately we got arrested in Spain and got detained. We were beaten & tortured everyday.
