Neither Grimaldo or Llorente is a fullback. I hate 3/5 atb, but that’s what suits our players now? why can’t we play something like 5-3-2 def / 3-5-2 attack with Grimaldo and Llorente as wingback / wingers, Hancko+Pubill+Cuti as cbs?

Unpopular Opinion: I “knew” once Griezmann said his leaving last season that it will be the end of Cholo. For 5 or more years now his/our tactic is “let Griezmann do some brilliance and we might win” and most of

…in came out so soon (besides the yellow card). Grimaldo had one of the worst games I've seen from an atleti player in a while, couldn't get good deliveries from corners or free kicks, was a complete liability on defense with all three goals coming from his side🤦🏾

pretty sure he has a kid or expecting one soon. I'd take the same approach he did. He is turning 32 next year and achieved everything a professional player would want to on the national level and wants to keep his body is top shape for the remaining years of his club career.

..on the field. None of our forwards are suited to be wingbacks maybe other than Simeone so a 5 defender formation is not suitable.
If cholo can figure it out we can have a very good team. The glaring weakness is that we need an in form striker and Grimaldo
defensively.

🔴⚪️ Happy with the squad overall but it's still imbalanced. Our defenders are better suited for a back 5 except we lack CB depth. Grimaldo is a wingback not a fullback and a liability defensively.

..dominate possession with a 3 cm formation. With Hjulmand as the anchor, barrios on the right and Baena on the left with Obed, Johnny, Koke and Mendoza as backups who should play a lot.

We also have significant striker depth and need to find a way to get at least 3 forwards
