Monday I snuck out of our place and went to her parent's house to ask their permission. They're amazing people and have shown me nothing but love since we met.

They are so happy to be helping me plan the proposal it's been amazing.

Celebrated my 40th birthday this weekend with dogs and humans that love me and all I could think was -

This is what I fought for man. 12 rehabs, endless shelters and halfway houses, this is what it was all for.

My 40s are going to be filled with love.

We had some fun in Minneapolis and then went to my girlfriend's parents house where they had a bunch of balloons, presents and cakes for me

Something about being cared for by parents that aren't yours is such an amazing feeling.

You might've noticed I fell in love since moving to Minnesota.

Me and my 2 dogs recently moved in with her and her 4 dogs. I'm the happiest guy in the world.

The day I moved in she got balloons and a welcome package with all my favorite snacks, it was so cute.

I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be for the first time in my life and I'm loving every minute of it.

You'd think having 6 dogs would be crazy, but it's really been delightful. All of hers are old, my two run 45 miles a week and are pretty chill in the house.

Everyone gets along great it's really been amazing, I'll never sit down alone again.
