Gin distilling days start early. I like to ride my bike as often as I can as it helps get my mind in the right place. And I can also treat myself to something good in my coffee when I get to the shop!

I ride my bike from Douglasdale to the distillery (42 ave SE) as often as I can. It's about 13km one way of which 10km is the river pathway. I think the most other riders Ive ever encountered on one ride was around 12. This morning it was zero. The safety of bike lanes is great because there are some REALLY bad drivers out there and you have to have your head on a swivel if you dont want to get squished, but the reality is they really arent used enough to justify taking out car lanes or parking.

This little beauty arrived from Normandy France last week and has been filled with 1000 litres of our 3 year aged Bourbon Style whisky. We'll let that sit for at least another two year before bottling. Excited to see what this ex Calvados cask is going add to our whisky!

@RiseOfAlberta That's exactly right. I f anyone needs an example I would recommend looking at the map of Europe from 1918 to 2000. Many changes, some from conquest, others due to cultural and demographic factors. Borders are rarely static.

It almost seems like the Liberals are trying to force Albertans into voting out of Confederation. Or is Carney saying "FU Alberta, I dare you to!" Or do they just truly not care? I'm having a hard time trying to wrap my head around it. I'm leaning towards they don't care but who knows. One thing I know for sure is a 2% GST increase on top of the excise tax increase that kicked in April 1 will hurt my business big time. Once again the federal government is double dipping.
