The thing about 80s parents was that even if your parents weren’t like this, at least four or five of your friends’ parents were. Mine were not. I still saw Nightmare on Elm Street at like 6 years old. Just a wildly ungoverned existence for kids (this was both good and bad).
I’ll address the controversy. Why not High Life? Easy: too delicious. A thinking man’s beer must be void of taste, neither interesting nor offensive, a frictionless vehicle for reflection that leaves you untroubled by the distraction of flavor. The Champagne of Beers is too good.
JEFF POWELL: Arsenal's tainted title should be marked with an asterisk. No wonder conspiracy theories about the establishment favouring clubs are rife, given the outside help they've had https://t.co/57vL1QTfIf
Universities have been aggressively sold AI they don’t need by the Ed tech companies they’ve been in bed with for years. They’ve sunk so much money into products from these companies that admin basically just have to rubber stamp whatever new product is offered (AI at the moment)
So I'm 36 years old and, you know, out of touch with what's going on at colleges, so maybe this is a dumb question, but did every school in the country lose their fucking minds lol. Why have all these universities baked AI into their graduation ceremonies? What fuck is going on?
“Poor Lane Kiffin didn’t decide to abandon his team. He simply made a decision that he knew would result in him abandoning his team. Totally unrelated actions!”
FAQs on the Ole Miss victim narrative:
Did Lane Kiffin abandon Ole Miss in the middle of the playoffs?:
No. Ole Miss sent packing early after it learned he was taking the LSU job next year.
Did Lane Kiffin abandon the 2026 team:
Yes.
But Preston, Ole Miss told him ahead of time:
It was still Ole Miss’ decision, if it wanted him there, it could have chosen that.
But, Preston, it was clearly the right decision for Ole Miss to send him packing early:
That’s fine. I support the program operating however it sees fit. I just don’t want to hear “Lane Kiffin abandoned his team in the playoffs” when Ole Miss was the one who chose that.
Lane Kiffin is still an asshole/immature:
I will never tell a fanbase not to dislike a coach for any reason - especially for leaving for a rival job.
Preston are you blindly defending the LSU coach bc you are in the LSU media:
No. I was here long before Kiffin. I’ll be here long after. Facts matter. And I just want to get those facts right.
Yeah, follow up question, Verge: Given this, will you now commit to allowing any future LSU coach in any sport who is signing with another school and assuming immediate coaching responsibilities at that school to finish out the season at LSU while also employed by a competitor?
Here’s my video I recorded and shared of #LSU AD Verge Ausberry on that very topic.
“We did tell him (Kiffin) this here. If you go to the playoffs, you can coach the team. We have no problem with that at all. LSU was not part of this where we didn’t want him to coach. We told him, if you get to the playoffs, please coach your team.”
An MIT writing professor on his students using AI:
"I realized that for the first time as a writing professor, I had to deal with students producing words without work, which wasn’t quite plagiarism and wasn’t quite paying for someone else to do the job, but it felt like a kind of naive chicanery; a perversion of the contract between writer and reader."

Lane Kiffin has a bobblehead of himself as the Tennessee coach and a mini bottle of French’s yellow mustard in his office at LSU.
He knows what to expect Sept. 19. He also wishes his Ole Miss tenure would be remembered as “these amazing six years together” instead of a messy divorce.

This is very economical on ESPN’s part because they’ll only need the one crew to film Lane and Dabo both talking about Ole Miss incessantly. Super efficient!
