The West Texas State Veterans Cemetery has officially joined the @TexasVLB's other four Texas State Veterans Cemeteries as part of the National Purple Heart Trail.

The National Purple Heart Trail is a symbolic and honorary system of roads, highways, and monuments in tribute to military members who have received the Purple Heart.

Thank you to the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 900 for providing a designation sign for the cemetery's entrance and for presenting a proclamation designating this beautiful cemetery as an official National Purple Heart Trail entity.

Eight available tracts of land totaling more than 62 acres are up for sale in Texas for eligible Veterans and Military Members.

Commissioner Buckingham is honored to announce that the West Texas State Veterans Cemetery will be recognized as part of the National Purple Heart Trail.

A Purple Heart Ceremony, which will include the signing of a proclamation, will take place at the cemetery on Wednesday, June 17th, at 9:00 a.m.
