Last week, our RRC’s Office of Public Engagement (OPE) team traveled to Odessa to attend the Lions Club State Convention and meet with community leaders from across the state.

The ITRE is responsible for European Union legislation related to energy, telecommunications and industry and was interested to learn from the Commission’s experience in overseeing one of the world’s most dynamic energy economies.

Earlier today, the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) welcomed members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) to RRC headquarters for a discussion on energy regulation.

The delegation included seven elected members of the European Parliament, led by ITRE Chair Borys Budka, along with staff and advisors.

This week's #ThrowbackThursday, we’re highlighting the massive bucket-wheel excavators that powered early lignite mining operations across Texas. ⛏️
