@danekevincook Map navigation doesn't get enough attention. As someone who has played the game on and off for years it takes far too long to learn the basic layout of new maps as it's hard to get an overview and they're often visually very busy.

@russophiliac @jeff_hawn @EgorKotkin AF447 had no control issues and just lost some fly-by-wire protections. Ultimately the cause was poor training and poor feedback of what the copilot was doing. Airbus has pretty robust fallback systems shown in QF32 and mechanical systems can and have failed.

@stephenjbrooks @IanCutress Panasonic is stubborn and haven't implemented proper phase detection in their sensors which would give the autofocus system proper depth information. Contrast detection is just too slow for video and the AF wobble is very distracting.

A lot of these factories are quite specialized and take years to build so it’s not an overnight change, but some are being built now.

@atomicthumbs If it’s at low revs and high load (boost) then it could be “low speed pre-ignition” which is an issue on some modern turbocharged gas engines.
