@kunchenguid I've experimented with this and I've struggled with degraded reasoning and retrieval perf after about 4 ongoing things at once.
I've tried compacting and leaving artifacts in docs, but I still can't get something that works for more than a day. How do you keep perf stable d/d?
@blind_via is there an evtol that you're excited about?
I'm 215 pounds so too large for any of the ones currently on the market and the ones that look like they might be able to carry me for meaninful distances are estimated to be $400k+
@coryfromphilly CZI has granted around 7B in 11 years. Rockefeller gave, in 2026 dollars, 13B. The zuccs have pledged most of their money.
CZI's work feels less impactful because Zucc owns less of US GDP than the Rockerfellers. The world is fairer and the rich are generous.
i hate elon but i also gotta say that spacex is probably valued correctly (and is promising long term). Going to dollar cost avg a few k/month for the net year.
@BrianNorgard I too thought patent filings would be a few hundred dollar thing and then convinced myself I didn't need them after talking with a lawyer.
China sells to the global south and domestically; you aren't selling in those markets. Other people will sell your thing in your market tho.
@Sandbaggerrr There’s a guy on YouTube who wrote to a ton of clubs to play off peak times and got a yes two out of 100 times.
This isn’t a terrible shot.
@ayeejuju wealth and welfare distributions in elder populations are bifurcated. you're actually just mad at rich people - and specifically here, at old rich people.

@TheMG3D Just a fun related story.
Here's opposition to a datacenter being built 8 miles away from the 25th wealthiest zipcode in the USA. When you chat w/ townsfolks, they get enraged the second you say build, nevermind also saying datacenter.

@ohgoditsmatthew Say Steyer makes 2nd and then he loses by several percent to the moderate candidate. Who then would you blame for your candidate's inability to win power?
I voted Steyer and am also bummed he will lose, but progressives have got to stop blaming others for their failures.
@Mason__McCann I used to be progressive and still have an affection for progressive candidates. So I happily voted Steyer.
But gosh it's frustrating to see yall absolve Steyer for not winning. Porter had every right to run the race she wanted. It was Steyers job to convincer her not to.
@jon_barron Can you talk in depth about your experience writing papers within an IDE?
Do you have a good harness? Are there tasks that you're getting surprising good perf out of the box on?
@splitbycomma another way to look at this: 19 year old guy that wants to do good work and be recognized as competent got a big rejection and wants to pull it out of the fire the only way he's seen other people do it.
@DavidSHolz my researchers are a mix of phd interns and full time researchers. slurm ime is popular in academia and you get more immediate productivity out of the interns. for long timers, k8s is "hard" to understand and use and it's mostly because they add new proper nouns to old concepts.
UC STEM faculty are absolutely right, and this change is long overdue.
We’re doing our kids a disservice and putting at risk the reputation of the world’s best public university system. As Governor, I’ll bring back SAT/ACT scores as part of the admissions criteria for STEM degree applicants.
