But that’s not a sustainable avenue tho, yea you could get a couple decent naturalized players, but once they age out then what? And what if the naturalized player pool shrinks or isn’t quality? Then the national team is screwed, and it screws over the USYNT too because the younger players will see that there isn’t a path to the NT and, in turn, causes those players to choose nations other than the US.

Why would the US want to push the narrative that “MLS = Join the USMNT”. The league should be used to develop homegrown players more than trying to attracting other nations half-rate players with the intention of having them put on the USMNT kit? The hurts the league and National team!
