@SNYtv It actually shows that replay has made the game one now where all four guys on the field and the guys in New York in the replay office are not paying any attention to the games. That is ridiculous
@BallparkEGuides@OleTimeHardball All that is great. Those numbers are fantastic and he played 21 years. Great guy great player. Not the greatest SS ever that people like to say he is. His yearly averages in hits, HRs and BA are lower than Robinson Cano, Lou Whitaker and Bobby Abreu
@timpduffy@OleTimeHardball During his greatest years he was never a better hitter in the AL than Boggs or Mattingly. Trammel and Yount were better SS statistically in the 80s. Until Arod, Jeter, and Nomar hit the league in the late 90s no other 90s SS was good. I think he’s overhyped. Just my opinion
@timpduffy@OleTimeHardball 2 MVPs is great but let’s be real about the all star game. The all star game is a popularity contest and is voted by the fans. Being an all star doesn’t define greatness. It says you’re good and likeable at the same time.
@CorderTodd@whitesox@Mariners@MLB What’s the SS doing anyway? Guy on 1st, ball hit down LF line or in the gap there is no way your job on that play is to stand in between 2nd and 3rd and act like you don’t have anything else to do. Cut or backup but nothing in that place on the field.
@BBGreatMoments Bernie Williams, Ray Lankford, Paul O’Neill, Kenny Lofton, John Lackey, Eric Davis, Terry Pendleton, Lou Whitaker, Jermaine Dye, Dave Stewart, Gary Sheffield
@JermaineCurtis If I’m willing to pay hundreds of dollars to take my family to the ballpark to watch some other guy go 0-5 with 4 ks why wouldn’t I do it for my son?
@BBGreatMoments With the Yankees you can’t have just four. You would have to rethink how to put more legends on the mountain. Joe D., Yogi, Mo, Whitey, Reggie, Thurman, Donnie Baseball. the list goes on and on.
@JeffFletcherOCR The batter gets a hit and the runner on third falls down and is injured between third and the plate. When the runner on first rounds second they throw behind him and tag him out between second and third. This is not a fielders choice because he had reached the next base
