🚨ODD SCORING ALERT🚨

This is from today's @whitesox at @tigers game. Here, with no outs in a tie game and runners on first and third, a ball is hit to first baseman Jacob Gonzalez, who instead of tagging first, threw home, but the runner on third wasn't advancing.

This was correctly scored a fielder's choice, and not an error.

Part of the Rule 9.12(a)(1) comment says this:

"The Official Scorer shall not charge an error to a fielder who incorrectly throws to the wrong base on a play."

Because of this rule, it isn't an error, but it also isn't a hit, as Gonzalez had a force out but chose to go elsewhere for an out.
